British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople stated on Wednesday evening. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on Monday, a devastating event that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his management team had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.

“Anthony and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two friends who passed away as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two trusted companions.”

His release from the hospital follows the global fight fans offered condolences for the fighter in the aftermath of the devastating accident.
