The NFL franchise issued a statement on Wednesday evening confirming they are aware of domestic violence allegations made public in social media posts by a ex-partner of wide receiver Rashee Rice and had been in contact with the league office.
The organization omitted the name of the player by name in their statement and said they would have âno further comment at this timeâ.

The woman, who also did not mention Rice directly, shared a series of photos on Instagram that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. She did say the individual in question was the father of her children, and reports indicate she has kids with Rice, whom the team drafted in the second round.
No police reports were available in the Kansas City suburb where the alleged abuse is said to have occurred.
The receiver missed the first six games of this NFL campaign following an league-mandated ban for his involvement in instigating a multi-vehicle accident on a Dallas highway that left multiple people injured. Rice was given 30 days in jail and five yearsâ probation after pleading guilty to serious offenses.
On the field, Rice concluded the year with 53 receptions for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Chiefs finished with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first occasion in a decade.
