Gas Detonation Costs 3 Carabinieri While Executing Property Removal Operation in the Verona Area

A trio of officers perished and at least 15 additional individuals sustained injuries in what appears to be deliberate gas explosion at a rural property in northern Italy.

The explosion occurred as officers and emergency crews went into the property close to the city of Verona to carry out an court-ordered eviction for three siblings who were older adults.

Each of the three deceased individuals served in the Italian military police.

Arrests and Aftermath

Two individuals were taken into custody at the site and another man who ran away after the blast was found not long after. The trio have been admitted to medical facility.
